Summer Retreat in the Puster Valley
Hiking, climbing, and mountain biking in the Puster Valley – you have the choice
A secret tip for many South Tyrol vacationers: Especially during the summer holidays, the Kronplatz ski region holds an incredible appeal for all holiday guests looking for a wide variety of possibilities for active vacationers. An extremely diverse holiday area awaits you with gentle valleys, picturesque towns and villages, alpine pastures with many operational huts, and—of course—enormous mountain giants that beckon you to panoramic tours and summit attempts. From St. Lorenzen in the centre of the Puster Valley, you can quickly reach the most sought-after locations and scenic highlights of the region by car or bus. Our market community at the foot of Kronplatz is ideally located to serve as an entrance to the Dolomites and opens up all the holiday offerings of the Puster Valley for you.
The mountains are calling!
Summer holidays at Kronplatz – that means wanderlust to the horizon, summit climbs on impressive Dolomite massifs, and enjoyable hut tours. For example, a very rewarding, moderately difficult tour with an amazing view leads to Piz da Peres (2,507 m). We also highly recommend ascending the neighbouring mountains Lutterkopf and Durakopf (2,145 m/2,275 m) or Astjoch (2,194 m) via Rodenecker Alm. In Speikboden, at Hochalpenkopf, and in Sand in Taufers, you’ll find exciting fixed rope routes. In addition, there are many routes in the area for circular hikes and high-altitude hikes, as well as interesting theme trails. You can also comfortably walk around at the bottom of the Puster Valley and stop for a hearty meal at a tavern any time.
